Friends Therapy
Friendships are an important part of one’s life and they are often challenged when being in different places, whether geographically or emotionally. Are you having communication issues with a friend (or a group of friends) and would you like to have an objective listener that will assist you in understanding the dynamics?

My role:
I will be using a solution-focused approach in order to help you regain the balance in your friendship.

Pré-Mediation
Mediation is most commonly used when two or more parties are in conflict and want to find common grounds. With pre-mediation you allow for prevention to act in your advantage by being able to come to terms with the other party easier, while avoiding future conflicts.

About

Tania Sevastaki

  • I was born and raised in Greece  by my Dutch mother and Greek father, where I received in parallel both the Greek and Dutch education. This allowed me to experience all aspects of both cultures from the very start of my life and acted as a driving force for eagerly wanting to be among people with different backgrounds, in order to learn and understand those.
  • This was achieved to a large extent during my study years, as I always chose to attend international programs, but also when I myself became an expat when I decided to obtain my degree at Leiden University and move to the Netherlands. Here I worked with expats as a teacher at an International School, as well as as a psychologist at an Intercultural Mental Health Care Institution.
  • My background allows me to understand the challenges faced when living abroad, as well as the psychological processes involved when trying to accept and adjust to a new life.
  • How does my educational background provide me with a solid basis for the work I provide?
  • M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology
    Leiden Univeristy
  • M.Sc. in Strategic Human Resources Management
    ALBA Graduate Business School
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Counseling Skills
Hellenic Institute of Rational Emotive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (in cooperation with the Albert Ellis Institute, New York)
  • B.A. in Psychology
    The American College of Greece
  • Professional Membership:
  • Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen (NIP)
